Join Aon’s close-knit Auckland team and be part of a nationwide network of 50 local branches supporting communities across Aotearoa. As part of our Health, Wealth & Benefits team, you’ll play a key role in supporting around 6-7 of our team across the country, helping to deliver exceptional service to our portfolio of group clients. You will be managing Employee Benefits Insurance plan renewals, co-ordinating underwriting, assisting with managing claims, and day to day customer enquiries.
This is a great opportunity for someone proven experience in group insurance (life & disability) administration, ideally some experience with group health insurance, who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You’ll be working alongside the National Administration Services Manager, Account Managers, and our insurance partners to ensure our clients receive the best possible support and is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career within Aon!

Responsibilities
  • Manage the administration of a portfolio of Group Insurance clients:
  • In conjunction with Account Managers and Insurer partners, process annual renewals and prepare renewal documentation.
  • Process member communications following renewals (e.g. member certificates, and other benefits on offer).
  • Co-ordinate medical underwriting.
  • Assist with claims management.
  • Manage incoming requests and communications from group insurance clients and insurers.
  • Collaborate with the Group Administration team and Account Managers, showing care, diligence, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Keep client records up to date using Outlook and network drives.

What we are looking for:We’re after someone who brings a strong administrative background and a passion for helping others. You’ll be confident working independently and also thrive in a team environment. You’ll have:

  • experience in group insurance, with a solid understanding of all aspects of group insurance processes.
  • Ideally, some experience with group health insurance products and administration
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
