Role Overview: This role focuses on managing major retail chains and distribution networks, ensuring that commercial plans are executed effectively and in-store standards remain high to meet revenue and market share goals. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all primary Modern Trade accounts, including hypermarkets and convenience stores. Direct the creation and implementation of Joint Business Plans (JBP). Foster executive-level connections with major retailers and handle complex negotiations. Take ownership of both sell-in and sell-out metrics for primary accounts. Lead efforts for SKU expansion, new product introductions, and overall category development. Spot trends and opportunities to improve brand visibility and market footprint. Coordinate with Trade Marketing to ensure promotional activities are impactful and yield high ROI. Manage the trade spend budget, ensuring financial discipline and profitability across all accounts. Uphold in-store excellence, including merchandising standards and planogram adherence. Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to improve demand forecasting and reduce out-of-stock (OOS) incidents. Serve as a cross-functional liaison between Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to resolve roadblocks. Direct and mentor a team of account managers and executives to foster professional growth. Establish precise sales goals and performance metrics for the department. Execute performance assessments and cultivate a results-oriented team environment. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline. 8–10 years of experience within the FMCG sector, specifically focused on Modern Trade. At least 2–3 years of experience in a leadership capacity managing sales teams. Deep understanding of trade spend management and Joint Business Planning. Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities. A strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyze complex sales data.
