Job Description
The Group Lead - Environment, New Zealand is a national role that can be based in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch. You’ll play a key part in shaping the NZ Environment business strategy, driving growth, performance and market influence while enhancing our industry profile.
In this role, your inspiring and collaborative approach will bring teams together across all NZ regions and disciplines, connecting our local business with the wider ANZ Environment practices. You’ll communicate priorities clearly, nurture high-performing teams and support the development and retention of key talent through encouragement, mentorship, and engagement.
You’ll also champion business development efforts by building strong client relationships, spotting new opportunities, staying connected to local markets and preparing high-quality bids alongside Team Leads. On top of this, you’ll coordinate workloads and resources, working closely across teams, business lines and ANZ regions to deliver exceptional services.

Responsibilities
  • Degree qualified in an environment related field, with extensive leadership experience in environmental consulting and managing complex projects.
  • Proven record in business strategy, growth delivery and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong client development skills and experience leading complex pursuits and bids.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage resources across multiple regions and disciplines.
  • Recognised technical specialist in your field, able to provide guidance, direction and thought leadership.
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with the ability to inspire, engage, and influence at all levels
