REQUIREMENTS:

Possess (or be on track to hold by September 1, 2026) one of the following:
Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2) certification
Nursery, Kindergarten, and Grades1-6 (N-6)
Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 6 (P- 6)
Paid or Volunteer Experience with children (2-5 years old)
At the time of hire, if minimum qualifications are not met, an educational plan must be implemented and act to remain employed. Must be in good physical and mental health. Must have the ability to lift 40 or more pounds. Able to sit on the floor, bend down, and pick up children throughout the course of an eight-hour day.

Plans, organizes, and executes daycare curriculum, lesson plans, procedures, and documents accordingly
Implement a curriculum to provide positive learning experiences for children.
Supervise Assistant Teacher, teacher aide, and volunteers.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff Development training/workshops.
Participate in the planning and implementation of field trips.
Maintain cooperative, professional relationships with all staff, parents/guardians, funding sources, and volunteers/trainees.
Prepare and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
Implements good safety practices in and outside of the classroom
Conduct bi-monthly written observations of children and communicate any concerns to the Director.
Assess the developmental needs of the children on a timely basis and plan activities to meet their individual needs.
