Job Description
In this new and challenging position, you will lead the maintenance and engineering organisation within our cell and gene therapy group in Bergisch Gladbach. Together with this team, you will ensure preventive maintenance, as well as compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance management and a commitment to operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and managing the maintenance and engineering organisation in our cell factory, developing strategic plans for long-term operational excellence.
  • Ensuring the availability and conformity of the cell factory premises and equipment for production and quality control, including regular audits and inspections.
  • Driving technical projects forward by working closely with the engineering department and external contractors, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborating with the engineering department, IT department, and cell factory on continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
  • Managing a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing leadership, training, and professional development opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field, or have completed a technical apprenticeship with advanced qualifications. Your background includes substantial experience in quality management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • As an experienced leader, you bring a structured and detail-oriented approach to your work, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • You have a proven track record in planning and executing maintenance activities in regulated industries, demonstrating strategic oversight and operational excellence.
  • Your strong problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making under pressure enable you to guide teams effectively and maintain high standards.
  • With a confident and professional demeanor, you communicate fluently in both English and German, fostering productive relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
