Job Description Position : DevOps Lead - Group Manager - Data Engineering We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline our CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and ensure our platform's reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about infrastructure as code, automation, and fostering a true DevOps culture. Key Responsibilities CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain robust, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Azure Pipelines) or similar tools to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and version cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM templates.Cloud Management & Optimization: Provision, configure, and manage Azure services (e.g., AKS, App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts). Monitor performance and costs, implementing optimizations for efficiency and savings.Containerization & Orchestration: Containerize applications using Docker and manage their deployment and orchestration in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Instances (ACI).Monitoring & Observability: Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to ensure system health and proactive issue resolution.Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices across the Azure environment, including identity and access management (IAM) with Azure Active Directory, managing secrets with Azure Key Vault, and ensuring network security.Collaboration & Support: Collaborate closely with software development teams to provide guidance on cloud-native architectures, troubleshoot complex issues, and participate in an on-call rotation.Automation: Champion automation of repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash scripting. Skills Required: Proven experience of 10+ years as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep are highly desirable).Solid experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, especially AKS).Strong understanding of core Azure services and cloud architecture principles (compute, networking, storage, security).Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools in the Azure ecosystem.Preferred (Nice-to-Have):Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104: Azure Administrator, AZ-400: DevOps Engineer Expert).Experience in a software development role and understanding of application development lifecycles.Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).Experience with Git and Git workflows (GitFlow, Trunk-Based Development).Understanding of agile methodologies and working in Scrum/Kanban teams.
