Our opportunity
As the Group Manager, Digital Operations, you will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination of Digital Operations within Digital.
This senior role develops and provides effective governance across all Digital Operations (platform management, cloud and infrastructure, devices, cyber), ensuring maximum efficacy.
You will have responsibility for setting operational KPIs, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring delivery of outcomes across a matrix structure. As this role does not directly manage resources, strong leadership and influencing skills are needed to coordinate and align specialist teams, ensuring robust and reliable Digital services that support our Digital Strategy.
You will lead through collaboration, setting clear KPIs and standards, and holding teams accountable for performance and results. You will champion outcome-driven, sprint-based delivery, using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

Strategic Oversight & Governance: Provide strategic oversight and ensure strong governance of all Digital Operations activities, setting clear objectives, standards, and performance expectations within the matrix structure, collaborating with other Digital Functions to ensure end-to-end alignment and delivery.
Technology Operational Excellence: Establish, monitor, and continuously improve operational standards and procedures across Digital, ensuring reliable and secure system performance through influencing specialist teams and resources, uplifting technology governance and processes including ITIL alignment.
Delivery Leadership: Lead the Digital Technology operations value steam, ensuring that operational activities are prioritized and delivered with optimal efficacy.
Change Management: Ensure smooth adoption of new operational processes, tools, and technologies across Digital, upskill Digital teams on operational best practices, playbooks, standards, and compliance requirements.
Incident Management & Resolution: Ensure incidents are managed effectively, with proper governance, prioritization, collaboration and continuous improvement of incident response and resolution processes.
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure cybersecurity engages in all operations, and that compliance measures are clearly defined and monitored.
Software Updates & Release Management: Govern and assure software update and release management practices, collaborating with specialists to align with best practice standards, minimal operational disruption, and risk mitigation.
Incremental System Enhancements: Drive prioritization, oversight, and effective governance of incremental system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
Device Management Governance: Ensure compliance with governance and standards for lifecycle management of user devices, ensuring compliance, security, and support levels are maintained effectively across specialist groups.
Capability & Quality Control: Provide oversight and governance ensuring quality standards, consistency of practices, and digital capability development across specialist skill teams within Digital Operations. Collaborate with other Digital leaders to uplift operational capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Support the Digital Leadership team: Contribute to the achievement of the OKRs across Digital, and role model the Digital Culture code and Mirvac values.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Digital Operations in cross-functional governance forums, steering committees, and project working groups.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively foster strong partnerships with other Digital teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution, facilitate regular cross-functional forums, workshops, and stand-ups to drive shared understanding, resolve dependencies, and accelerate delivery, and ensure operational requirements and constraints are considered in all digital initiatives.
Your point of difference
You are a seasoned IT professional with 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Operations, Infrastructure Management, ITIL Lead, Technology Governance or Release Management, with proven experience blending Agile approaches with operational excellence.
