Job Description Job Summary Bosch is looking for a visionary and technically strong Group Manager to lead a team focused on advancing Generative AI for NLP and Vision. You will oversee the research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge GenAI solutions across a broad range of applications, including document intelligence, conversational systems, and multi-modal agents. Your team will work closely with Bosch’s global business units, academic partners, and internal product teams to drive strategic GenAI capabilities across language and image-based modalities, integrating them into real-world industrial and enterprise use-cases. Roles & Responsibilities: * Strategic Leadership Define and drive the vision and roadmap for Generative AI research and applications in NLP and image domains. Identify strategic opportunities for applying GenAI to Bosch domains such as engineering, mobility, manufacturing, automated document understanding, and visual AI agents. Collaborate with Bosch's global research network and business units to align activities with long-term innovation and product goals. * Team & Talent Development Lead and mentor a high-performing, interdisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and architects. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence. Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and career growth. *Technical Oversight Guide research in large language models (LLMs), multi-modal foundation models (VLMs), image generation, and document analysis. Architect hybrid systems using LLMs, symbolic reasoning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic workflows. * Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with product, engineering, UX, and domain teams to deliver scalable AI features. Engage with external academic and industry research communities, including publishing at top-tier AI conferences. Qualifications Educational qualification: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI/ML, NLP, or Computer Vision. Experience : 15+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in leadership roles. Mandatory/requires Skills : * Expertise in Generative AI across text and vision modalities: LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Claude) Vision-language models (e.g., BLIP, Flamingo, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion) NLP pipelines (document classification, QnA, summarization) Proficiency with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, and tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Autogen. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated success in managing AI/ML research or product teams.
