As part of Group Procurement & Property, operating under a hybrid delivery model, you’ll provide specialist support across Downer’s business units. Reporting to the GM Group Procurement & Property, you’ll lead technology sourcing, manage strategic supplier relationships, and deliver procurement outcomes aligned with business and Group objectives.
You’ll oversee a team of 3 Sourcing Managers and 1 License & Renewal Manager, with a focus on value creation, cost-efficiency, and strategic execution. This permanent role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the chance to shape sourcing within a top-tier organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management efforts across technology to ensure value for money, governance, compliance and sustainable procurement goals.
  • Ensure optimised service delivery and benefits realisation utilising contractual leverage.
  • Embrace innovative procurement solutions including Artificial Intelligence and leverage data analytics to enhance decision-making, operational efficiency and productivity uplift.
  • Act as a strategic leader, influencing and collaborating with stakeholders to align sourcing delivery with group objectives and strategy.
  • Engage, influence and inform senior leaders to support key partners. Provide guidance & expertise for decision making.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to drive innovation, continuous improvement, support transformational change and inspire productivity growth.
  • Support the supplier to thrive by managing supplier concerns, escalations, information requests and facilitating executive engagement.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers.
  • Assist stakeholders to monitor, evaluate, and report on supplier performance using defined KPIs and scorecards.
  • Identify category and supplier risks (e.g. financial, operational, geo-political) and support the development of mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Downer Digital, Procurement, Business Units, Finance, Legal) to identify procurement initiatives and align supplier activities with business requirements.
