Group Operations Assistant Manager
We are seeking a Group Operations Assistant Manager to ensure all activity of InBond operations are delivered to exceptionally high standards and within agreed processes and procedures. Provide effective support and leadership to the Operational Supervisors and assist to manage all operational staff.

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Setting goals, objectives and allocating tasks to operational supervisors on a daily basis
  • Ensure customers’ expectations are met or exceeded by service levels provided
  • Liaise with Managers to resolve issues and improve operational efficiencies
  • To be involved in any staffing issues or disciplinary procedures
  • Maintain a flexible approach to all working practices
  • Promote positive and effective staff input
  • To be proactive in problem solving and providing initiatives to the operation
  • Utilise the warehouse management system (WMS) to increase efficiency in all operational areas – including processes & task management
  • Provide assistance with operational administration
  • Maintain stock accuracy
  • Contract management, including associated meetings
  • Good Housekeeping and Working Practices
  • To play an active role in all H&S activities within the operation on a daily basis
  • Maintain daily inspections and ensure regulatory testing of all MHE equipment
  • Ensure the shelving and racking is fit for purpose and conduct regular inspections
  • Managing Staff Rota’s
  • Management reports
  • Identify and report to the Group Operations Manager any issues that may adversely affect the smooth running of the operation.
  • To carry out project tasks reasonably requested by line Manager and the Directors.
  • Ensure work rates and performance are continuously monitored and regularly reported Group Operations Manager

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of leading a team within a storage/warehousing environment, for a minimum of 2 years
  • Previous experience in using a Warehouse Management System at group and contract level
