Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 months - 1 year PR experience - this can be via an internship or full time employment
  • Strong communication skills with excellent use of written English and attention to detail
  • A business-minded individual with a broad understanding of the media landscape
  • Experience of generating creative ideas, proactively selling in news stories and delivering results
  • Strong organisational skills, time management, the ability to prioritise, be flexible and multitask
  • Experience in assisting PR events
  • A team player who likes to work in a very dynamic and fast paced environment

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major high-street retailer at a time of investment growth and expansion for the business. You will play a key role within the corporate communications team that are responsible for proactive media pitching for the Group’s corporate and business updates including M&A, store openings and more. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and efficiently sharing press coverage, maintaining media distribution lists and effectively co-ordinating media requests.

  • Responsible for daily monitoring and proactively sharing press coverage
  • Maintaining an up-to-date database for all media distribution and tiered media lists
  • Proactive media pitching for Group announcements and effectively liaise with digital, print and regional media daily
  • Work closely alongside Head of PR, Press Officer and PR Manager to devise corporate press strategy and support with media partnerships and investments
  • Support the wider team on press releases involving corporate updates, seasonal campaigns, new store openings and brand activations
  • Support the wider team on development of materials and logistics for Frasers Group Full Year and Interim Financial Results
  • Maintain and develop a keen profession interest in the media landscape knowing which titles are generating consumer engagement as well as who are the key editors
  • Maintaining and effectively build internal relationships across all departments
  • Responsible for team invoices and payments to suppliers
  • Develop wrap up reports to share with key stakeholders showcasing all PR activity and coverage alongside specific reports when applicable
  • Co-ordinate and prioritise digital and physical sample requests
