Group Reporting Manager UK (12 Month FTC) Do you enjoy leading complex group accounting in a regulated environment? This is a 12‑month fixed term contract, based in London, offering a hybrid approach to working with a balance between office and home working. What the day will look like This role plays a key part in Aon UK’s group reporting and controllership activity, ensuring accurate, timely and high‑quality financial reporting across the UK. Managing the UK monthly close, COP checklists and requirements, including late entries. Leading balance sheet variance analysis, coordinating inputs across teams and consolidating reviews ahead of submission to UK and Group Controllers. Overseeing non-trade working capital reporting, supporting plans, forecasts and quarterly recasts in partnership with the UK business and accounting teams. Managing the Aon UK group insurance processes, including payments, accounting and broker data submissions. Owning the relationship with external auditors, including substantive testing at Q3 and year end for the UK Group Audit Leading IFRS and RMAR pensions reporting, actuarial review, journal preparation and quarterly adjustments with Tax and BU controllers. Managing annual pension SOX controls and statutory pension disclosures. Overseeing central accounting touchpoints including fixed assets, accounts payable, and errors and omissions, working closely with shared service teams in Krakow, Genpact and EMEA. Contributing to corporate finance projects impacting group reporting processes, such as close acceleration and legal entity reduction. Operating in line with the Aon UK Risk Management Framework and relevant policies. How this opportunity is different This role offers broad exposure across Aon UK Finance, working closely with UK Controllers, Business Unit Controllers, shared services and external audit. It combines strong technical ownership with opportunities to influence reporting processes, drive efficiencies and contribute to wider finance transformation within a global organisation. Skills and experience that will lead to success Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) or working towards qualification Experience in group reporting, controllership or financial reporting within a complex, regulated environment. Strong knowledge of both US and IFRS GAAP reporting, balance sheet control and pensions accounting. Proven experience managing month‑end close processes and external audit relationships. Ability to collaborate effectively across a matrix organisation and shared service model. Strong attention to detail with a practical, improvement‑focused mindset.
