Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Client Relationship Support: Assist in maintaining and strengthening relationships with group retirement clients by providing exceptional service to plan members and ensuring member queries and requests are promptly addressed. Help manage communication with plan sponsors and participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Individual Plan Member Support: Assist plan members in monitoring and reviewing their GRS accounts, transferring assets from other registered plans into their GRS accounts and making changes to their investments.
  • Retiring Plan Member Support: Assist plan members approaching retirement with setting up retirement income accounts, explaining the process for converting pension, RRSP and DPSP assets to income, completing the necessary paperwork and facilitating the set-up process
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct research and analysis on market trends and create communication pieces to share with plan sponsors and plan members.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the team with administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, preparing client presentations, documenting client communications, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • Client Communication & Follow-Up: Participate in virtual and in-person meetings with plan members, taking notes, following up on action items, and ensuring that plan member needs are addressed.
  • Learning & Development: Continuously expand your knowledge of wealth management, financial planning and regulatory compliance through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all client interactions, documentation, and investment activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with other HUB Group Retirement team members to deliver comprehensive financial literacy solutions and proactive client servicing and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Willingness to Travel: Our plan members are located throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and Northwest Territories. Some travel to client locations throughout the year will be required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE –

  • LLQP is required. Willingness to acquire within 3 months of hire date if not already licensed is required.
  • RPA/CEBS certification considered an asset.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a client-facing role as a financial advisor or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct research and interpret financial data.
  • Solid understanding of group retirement products: RRSPs, DCPPs, DPSPs, TFSAs etc.
  • Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute to a team environment.
  • Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectivity in both written and verbal.
  • Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in windows-based computer systems.
