Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau |Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family As Group Risk & Assurance Manager, you will co-lead the implementation of our internal assurance programme and strategic risk framework across New Zealand, working closely with our GM Group Risk & Assurance based in Australia and another NZ-based Risk and Assurance Manager. Your day will include planning and delivering assurance reviews, maintaining and evolving the strategic risk register, and turning complex risks into clear, practical actions for senior leaders. You will partner with operations, finance, legal and project teams to strengthen internal controls, support better decisions, and lift governance standards across a large, diverse enterprise. Above all, you will operate as a genuine business partner and trusted advisor. In addition to the above you will: Conduct internal audits and reviews, assess control effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement. Keep the strategic risk register up to date by working collaborative with various departments. Establish and maintain effective internal controls and mitigate risks. Report and present relevant findings to the senior management team. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks to proactively develop appropriate actions. We're looking for someone with: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field of study or CA/CPA/CIMA qualification Demonstrated experience in risk management, internal audit, or assurance roles in a complex environment. Proven ability to assess compliance with standards, laws, rules and regulations and design and assess internal controls. Strong reporting and presentation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar industry. We are looking for someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
