We are seeking an experienced Group Sales & Catering Manager to drive event sales and oversee flawless execution of catering and group experiences.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Group Sales & Catering Manager is responsible for prospecting, booking, and managing group business, including weddings, retreats, and private events. This role blends sales strategy with hands-on event coordination, ensuring every detail reflects Chipeta Lodge’s standard of warm, genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage group sales opportunities, including weddings, meetings, retreats, and special events
  • Work with the General Manager to target need periods, minimize displacement, and optimize occupancy across the lodge
  • Respond to event inquiries, conduct site tours, and prepare customized proposals and contracts
  • Create banquet event orders (BEOs) and work closely with the culinary, spa, and lodging teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Lead pre-event planning with clients and serve as the primary on-site contact during events
  • Manage catering operations, including menu planning, staffing coordination, and service standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners
  • Track sales performance, prepare reports, and achieve revenue goals for group business
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and showcase the property through bridal shows, local events, and digital campaigns
