Description

Are you looking for something different? Sparkling Hill Resort is looking for an enthusiastic Sales & Event Coordinator. This brand-new role is a hybrid between on the floor, customer facing, fast-paced events and the analytical desk-based group sales.
Perfect for a hospitality professional who is looking to take that step off the floor but feels they might miss the action. We are looking for someone who wants a flexible schedule, is passionate about providing high quality event experiences to our valued guests and wants the challenge of group sales contracts and the organization of planning events. Schedules are dictated by what’s going on in the department with shifts ranging from 9am – 5pm, evenings and weekends so someone who can adapt to change and shift their gears is imperative.
In this role, every day is different, you could start your day at your desk, tailoring an event proposal for a group next year and then negotiating contract with a group next quarter, then onto the floor running a site tour for a prospective client after lunch followed by hosting a dinner for an in-house client, assisting our F&B team with the service and ensure the clients event is realized how you both have planned it.
Our small team in Group Sales & Events will oversee all aspects of their group from start to finish. Our team works together to ensure all events are a success with the goal of saying ‘Yes’ and exceeding guest expectations.
Did I mention there’s travel?! We attend several tradeshows and events a year so team members will have the opportunity to go out into the world and talk all about Sparkling Hill to prospective clients and guests.
If this sounds like your dream role, send a cover letter addressed to Rachel, telling her why and examples of how you have gone above and beyond to make a client happy.
Previous experience in hospitality service is a must!
