Job DetailsJob Location: Highland , NY 12528Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 HourlyRocking Horse Ranch Resort, an award winning, all-inclusive resort property in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a talented Group Sales Manager to solicit, negotiate, and book new groups, as well as drive sales for repeat business. You are expected to uphold the level of hospitality and service we have provided for nearly 70 years. Our ideal candidate will have a gregarious personality and a natural talent for customer service. This role offers a generous base salary plus commission. Responsibilities Drive new and repeat group and banquet sales to maximize room and food and beverage revenue; develop relationships with key accounts Determine rates in coordination with management, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and service all group accounts Manage all group bookings and banquet sales from inquiry, through contract, to execution, and post-event follow through Communicate Group and Banquet needs effectively to all Resort Departments Work closely with the General Manager to maintain accurate and legible records on each account or group Maintain strong familiarity with resort’s rates, packages, and promotions to secure reservations and maximize room revenue and occupancy Provide attentive and courteous service to all guests during check-in/check-out, throughout their stay, and while working the Front Desk Demonstrate detailed knowledge of all itineraries, activities, and services at the resort Interact with and assist other departments or associates as needed QualificationsQualifications 1+ years sales experience, hospitality industry preferred Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Impeccable attention to detail and desire to learn new computer programs Strong work ethic, adept at multi-tasking, and a true team player This position comes with a competitive wage and benefits package, including medical, dental, supplemental insurance, profit sharing plan, 401k, PTO, and meals. Responsibilities
