ROLE CONTEXT

The Selfridges Group is comprised of Brown Thomas and Arnotts in Ireland, Selfridges in the UK and de Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, all of which are successful department stores in their own right. Although part of an overarching group structure, the business has purposefully sought to maintain the individuality of each brand and as such they all have a distinct positioning, in keeping with their local market and the customers that they serve.
Selfridges Group Team’s purpose is to support each business or ‘banner’ in defining priorities of the Group, creating clarity and consistency, providing stretch and challenge and empowering teams to deliver. Our values include building trusted relationships, shaping a better future together and inspiring the extraordinary.
Our culture is a dynamic and fast-paced one, and those with a pro-active mind-set, strong communication skills and an international perspective will find Selfridges Group an exciting, stretching and fulfilling organisation in which to work.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Group People team sets the vision and direction across the Group, working closely with the individual banner people teams in Europe who set and deliver their local people strategies. The Group People strategy is focused on Group wide Executive Talent, team member Engagement, and a framework for Group wide Reward.
Reporting to the Group People Director, the Group Senior People Manager leads the Leadership and Talent strategy across the Group and sets and monitors a Group wide framework for Engagement. They are also the HR Business Partner to the Group Senior Leaders, with key stakeholders including the Group CEO and Group CFO.
