We give you a world of potential We have an excellent opportunity for a Group Tax Reporting Manager to join our Finance team, based in our Melbourne office. A role you will love The Finance function is responsible for providing transactional accounting services; tax, treasury, financial planning, analysis, reporting and commercial finance support to all business units and functions throughout Computershare, across all global locations. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax Reporting & Compliance, the Group Tax Reporting Manager is responsible for the following: Lead the group tax reporting process to liaise with finance stakeholders to prepare consolidated tax reports for the groups’ current, deferred and cash tax positions Responsible for preparing consolidated tax notes for inclusion in the group annual report and for providing explanations to external auditors Responsible for ETR management process (both statutory and management tax reporting) for forecast and budget purposes including scenario-based modelling of potential tax impacts Support in the compliance obligations of the head entity of the Computershare group including BEPS Pillar Two and Country-by-Country reporting requirements Support delivery of the Finance Transformation optimisation, including focus on data Some of your key responsibilities will also include: Lead design and continuous improvement of a centralised, standardised group tax reporting process aligned with finance transformation goals Deliver accurate and insightful group tax reporting by preparing consolidated group tax reports including current, deferred and cash tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, uncertain tax positions and supporting schedules Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly group tax provision reports including reconciliations and disclosures for external financial reporting requirements Implement and manage the ETR forecasting and analysis process for both group statutory and management reporting working closely with the Global Head of Reporting & Compliance Act as the technical lead for IAS 12 and other relevant tax accounting standards, providing advice across the group Support in the provision of all compliance obligations impacting the reporting head entity of the Computershare group including consolidated income tax return and associated schedule filing & documentation, CbC Reporting, BEPS Pillar Two Manage the relationship with Financial Systems and partner with them to maintain the Global tax provision software (Oracle TRCS), including system updates, tracking, rollovers, change management and reporting enhancements Ensure adherence to the group’s risk, control and governance frameworks embedding best practices across all group tax reporting activities What will you bring to the role? As a senior member of the Finance team, this role operates in an extremely fast-paced environment, and you will support a number of solutions concurrently. The successful candidate will be able to work at a steady pace and, importantly, be able to be flexible and responsive to prioritise and pivot focus if required. Other key skills required include:​​​​​​​ A professional tax, accounting or business qualification for example ACA, ACCA, or CTA or equivalent Expert in all aspects of Corporate Tax reporting processes, procedures, systems, theories and practices working for multinational companies on international and cross-border tax issues Experience working in a corporate tax department of an accountancy practice or in-house corporate tax team with a comprehensive understanding of International Accounting Standard 12 under IFRS Excellent interpersonal skill to communicate effectively (across all mediums) with the ability to adapt style to engage senior levels within the organisation A high level of attention to detail and accuracy to complete thorough checks of all work and to deliver every project to the highest level of quality Good problem-solving skill to analyse a range of internal and external data and insight from a variety of sources, making appropriate recommendations Resilient and composed under pressure, proactive, self-motivated, take ownership/responsibility for own work Rewards designed for you Flexible work to help you find the best balance between work and lifestyle.
