Primary Responsibilities Include: * Conducts psycho-educational, process, support groups, and provides individual counseling as needed/qualified. * Participates as a team member in planning treatment programs. * Collaborates in the treatment planning process. * Develops cooperative relationships with volunteers and service organizations to expand programming opportunities for patients. * Maintains timely, accurate and thorough clinical records and documentation. * Provides input regarding the clinical needs of patients. * Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients that are beneficial to their treatment. * Counsels patients individually and in group sessions to assist them in dealing with behavioral health problems and social issues. * Collaborates with TCs, physicians/NPs and nurses to plan and coordinate treatment based on patients’ needs. Also utilizes the clinical record as a source of information. * Educates the patients on alternative healthy ways of coping with problematic events and emotions. * Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures, and ensures that daily clinical notes document the patients’ progress in meeting their treatment goals. * Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures and ensures that daily clinical notes document the patients’ progress in meeting their treatment goals * Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the program. * Facilitates active patient participation in the treatment process. * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * Masters degree or CADC required * Experience providing mental health, eating disorders and/or substance abuse treatment services is preferred #GMH
