What are your responsibilities? In Groups, Meetings & Events there is never a dull moment, if you are enthusiastic about hospitality, well organized, have excellent communication skills with attention to detail than we are looking for you! At the Amsterdam Marriott we take meetings and events to the next level. In your role you coordinate and own events either via telephone, mail and internet in a friendly, efficient and prompt manner. You are a dedicated host and a direct link between the guests and the hotel’s operational departments. At our hotel the GME Team handles the process from A till Z their booking, tasks such as: - Receive, reply and convert incoming enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue - After signing the contract you will be responsible for organizing your groups & events requests - You will make sure that you discuss all details for the groups’ stay and communicate this internally just before the groups’ arrival through preparing information sheets for the team (rooms and events). - Ensure the complete administration and execution of your events - With handing over the groups to our Banqueting team, your group is in good hands of the operations team. - After the event you will review the final invoice and you will do after sales with the group Apart from detailing the event requirements you are actively engaged in maintaining an accurate financial forecast for events. You are also regularly conducting site inspections, (together with sales), to promote the hotel and sell groups & events to our clients. What makes you the perfect fit? To be eligible for this position you… Have previous experience working within an Groups, Meetings & Events department or similar environment is preferred; Have hospitality experience; Are enthusiastic, passionate and motivated; Are accurate and detail oriented in work; Have an organized work style and an eye for detail; Have a proactive sales approach towards customers; Can keep up the team spirit!
