Microgreens Ottawa is the leading grower of microgreens in Eastern Ontario and we’re looking for one or two star performers to join us!
This Grow Room/Customer Service Specialist is fully involved with all facets of our operation. Responsibilities include watering and spraying, prepping and planting flats (trays). General cleaning of work areas. Harvesting and packing of microgreens for retail customers. Sales of seeds and supplies. Providing nutritional data to clients as needed. Cash handling experience is an asset. There is definitely some heavy lifting involved, and you need to be ready to play in the dirt. Grow room environment awareness, daily work station cleaning, trouble shooting and plant management training will be provided.
The positions available consist of daytime shifts, and we need to fill weekday and weekend shifts. We’re open every day of the year, and this means working on statutory holidays. If you believe you have the right stuff, we’d love to meet you. Previous experience is not required but an outgoing personality, the ability to adapt on the fly, and the will to learn is paramount.
You must be a current Ottawa/Gatineau resident to qualify for this position*
