Description

We are the University of Cumbria, for and from Cumbria and our localities, rooted in serving our communities, with people, place and partnership at our heart.
Now is a very exciting time to be joining us because we are delivering a new “Towards 2030” strategic plan focused on making the most of our three most valuable assets; People, Place and Partnerships, to become a catalyst for economic well-being for our region, nationally and internationally.
As part of this development, we are seeking an enthusiastic Growth and Development Administrator to join our ambitious and supportive Business and Operations team within the Institute of Health.
Working primarily with our Medical Sciences Group, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a range of internal and external projects to help deliver our growth targets. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, team-focused environment and enjoys building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
Key responsibilities include supporting placement expansion initiatives, liaising with NHS Trusts and clinical educators, coordinating stakeholder engagement events such as Programme Advisory Boards, and providing project and marketing support. You will also act as a key point of contact for students, providing guidance on clinical placements and assessments, and signposting to university resources.
We are looking for a strong team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can work professionally and confidentially with a range of stakeholders. A positive, flexible, and can-do approach is essential, along with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Hybrid working arrangements can be supported in line with business needs.
Informal Enquiries: Toby Best | Head of Business and Operations| toby.best@cumbria.ac.uk | 01228 242586
We offer a comprehensive set of staff benefits which includes a competitive salary, 33 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working in line with business need, and an excellent pension scheme with 8% employer contribution.
