Description
We're looking for someone to own the Kids Learning category as a business unit. You'll have full P&L accountability for this segment—revenue targets, unit economics, growth strategy, and profitability. This is a founder-style role where you'll build the category from the ground up, defining strategy, driving GTM, building the creator/content ecosystem, and ensuring we hit growth and retention metrics. You're not managing a large team, but you'll be the connective tissue between Product, Content, Growth, and Sales. You'll make data-driven decisions, run experiments, own the numbers, and be accountable for both acquisition and unit economics. Key Responsibilities : Own P&L and category metrics by defining unit economics, setting and tracking growth KPIs (revenue, CAC, LTV, retention, engagement), forecasting performance, fixing funnel bottlenecks, and reporting progress against targets. Drive category strategy and growth through market and competitor analysis, defining target segments, building 0–1 growth strategies, testing key growth levers, running rapid experiments, and scaling what works. Build and scale the kids’ content & creator ecosystem by defining high-impact content formats, recruiting and retaining quality educators/creators, setting pedagogy and quality standards, designing incentives, and monitoring creator health. Own brand positioning and GTM by defining differentiated category messaging, leading acquisition and partnership initiatives, aligning channel strategy with Growth/Marketing, and building parent- and kid-resonant brand campaigns. Lead cross-functional execution by partnering with Product, Content, Growth, Finance, and Data teams to align roadmaps, campaigns, financials, dashboards, and KPIs around category outcomes. Experience: 7–10 years in B2C roles (category, growth, product, or business), with proven 0–1 builds, P&L ownership, and a strong track record driving acquisition, retention, and experimentation in high-engagement consumer products. Skills & Mindset: Highly data-driven and experiment-oriented, able to influence cross-functional teams, build creator or content ecosystems, and deeply understand kids’ learning and parent decision-making. Key Competencies: Strong financial and market analysis, GTM strategy, growth and retention mechanics, and clear, data-backed communication with leadership and stakeholders. Nice to Have: Creator-platform experience, strong analytics tooling, understanding of learning science, exposure to investors or fundraising, and comfort operating in fast-paced startup environments.
