The GE Vernova Power Transmission business line in Kassel, Germany, is part of a global network focused on providing advanced solutions for the efficient transmission of electrical power. This business line typically offers a variety of products such as high-voltage transformers, switchgear, and power cables, along with cutting-edge technologies that ensure the reliable functioning of electrical grids.
In terms of solutions, the business provides comprehensive services including grid modernization, smart grid technologies, digital substations, and maintenance services. These solutions are designed to improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of power transmission systems, catering to the evolving needs of energy providers and the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid.

Your Mission: The Growth Leader will develop & implement the Growth Strategy for Services. She/he will analyse the market/install base, define key commercial campaigns & build offerings to best align with customer needs. Individual contributor, not managerial level.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or/and master’s in Engineering or Business Development
  • Over 5 years of experience in business development within a similar industry (electrification/power)
  • Hands-on experience within Execution/Proposal/Tendering project phases
  • Strong customer service mind set
  • Track record of negotiating and closing deals
  • Demonstrable High level of integrity and role model with respect to company values
  • Knowledge about High Voltage Products
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and German (C1 at least)

  • Ability to effectively work in a multi-functional team and operate within a matrix organization with transparency and trust

  • Be approachable and have the answers to guide team members on the right path

Responsibilities
  • Define the growth strategy for each product line leveraging historical commercial performance, country & install base coverage
  • Identify new solutions, campaigns & offerings to win
  • Design combined offering with the rest of the GE Vernova portfolio
  • Design, setup & lead commercial campaign at the regional level
  • Implement Dashboard & KPIs to measure progress & success of campaigns
  • Ensure full alignment with key customers in the region working with the key account managers
  • Coordinate between Commercial Team and Technical Team to provide competitive strategies, solutions, bids, and proposals to Customers
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners
  • Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
  • Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
