Description

Microba's microbiome tests help hundreds of thousands of patients and practitioners feel confident and get the clarity they need to feel healthy again every year, but we're not stopping here; our mission is to reach a million patients by 2030 – and how efficiently we grow our network of practitioners and clinics is a big part of how we get there. We're looking for an exceptional Growth Marketing Lead to own the performance of our acquisition funnel end to end, across both the UK and Australian markets. You'll work closely with Social Media and Campaigns, Events and Community, Content Marketing, Design and Brand, and in close collaboration with Product, Engineering and Sales, to turn a category-defining portfolio of tests into practitioners who choose Microba over the alternatives, and stay.

If you live in the funnel data, know how we can run paid search and media in-house, are constantly building and testing with the newest AI tools and agents, area good communicator and team plyer, and are comfortable shipping great quality, thin slices and learning as we go whilst following a roadmap to that leads to the end go with iterations along the way – and you can stand in front of a board and show the ROI on every dollar spent – we'd love to hear from you!

Australia-based – remote, with the option to work hybrid from our Brisbane head office – supporting our UK and AU markets. Microba. Expect Better.

About Microba

We exist to advance society by harnessing the microbiome's profound health potential. Microba is a clinical-grade microbiome testing company, working with practitioners through a portal that turns complex data into smart, actionable insights. Our tests serve more than 40% of people worldwide living with ongoing functional gut disorders – grounded in the latest science and rigorous evidence, delivering full microbiome mapping, pathogen and gut-physiology screening, and AI-powered treatment guidance.

We have bold ambitions over the next 18 months, across both Australia and the UK, and we're building fast to get there. We've already embedded AI deeply across the business; now we're going further, backing resourceful people to combine the best AI tools and agents with human expertise, and lift the quality of everything we do. This is the beginning of an exciting era for our team, with newly defined roles and scope – and this is one of them.

The role

You'll own the performance of Microba's acquisition funnel end to end – the strategy, the spend, and the numbers that prove it works. That covers paid media, SEO including AEO, marketing automation and lifecycle, website and landing-page optimisation, campaign amplification, and the experimentation programme that ties them together.

Our core audience is Integrated Functional Medicine (IFM) practitioners and clinics in the UK and Australia who refer our tests to their patients – but Microba's customer is the patient. Your job is to grow that network efficiently, make sure practitioners choose Microba over competitors, and turn them into lifelong, loyal users.

There is no agency between you and the results. A day in this role looks like tracking the funnel across our multi-channel, product-integrated tracking platform, finding the optimal CPA, CAC and LTV, building and testing with new AI tools and agents, and demonstrating to the leadership team,

shareholders and the Board the return on every dollar spent in marketing.

What you'll own

End-to-end funnel ownership. The full acquisition funnel across practitioners, clinics and patients – from channel strategy and budget allocation through to signup, activation and early retention. You track and report CPA, LTV/CAC and payback, and the business trusts those numbers because you built them.

Paid strategy and channel mix. Own, optimise and evolve the established paid strategy across paid search (Google Ads), paid social and the broader channel mix. You run paid media in-house end to end, using and building AI-assisted campaign management tools, and you deploy into programmatic, referrals, affiliates and emerging channels as the data warrants.

Lifecycle and retention. Own the lifecycle and nurture programme, built in Intercom. You continuously optimise sequences across activation, retention and reactivation; content marketing, campaigns, events, sales and clinical support help shape the content, and you own the automation.

Conversion and web experience. Own conversion-rate optimisation across our pages and experiences in Webflow. You build and run on-site and landing-page experiments, and you launch and manage lead-generation tools like Find a Practitioner and the onboarding journey.

Experimentation engine. Build and run it – prioritisation, test design, execution and dashboards. Ideate, brief, run and learn from tests at a pace that compounds over time.

Data, tracking and measurement. Own the tracking architecture hands-on – events, conversions, attribution and integrations. You live fluently across Mixpanel, Intercom, Databricks, GA4, Webflow, Meta, Hotjar and Claude, and you know when the data is telling you something versus nothing.

Feedback loops and insight. Engineer the loops that bring customer and product insight back into the acquisition programme, so campaigns get smarter with every cycle. You report on core KPIs to make sharper decisions, not to fill dashboards.

The stack itself. We use a strong mix of tools and platforms today. You'll assess it, bring in new tools where they genuinely add value, and make sure we're always running the best mix.

Cross-functional partnership. Partner with Product and Engineering to support product-led growth, and champion funnel optimisation behaviours across every department. You're instrumental in building a well-informed, close-knit sales, marketing and product growth team, and you can hold the room at executive level.

What you'll bring

  • 6+ years as a senior growth marketer, ideally in a SaaS or product-led environment – or 2+ years as a Growth Lead or Head of Growth.
  • Demonstrable end-to-end ownership of an acquisition funnel and a substantial paid media budget, with accountability for CPA, LTV/CAC and payback.
  • A track record of running a compounding experimentation programme, not a handful of one-off tests.
  • Genuinely hands-on across the growth stack – Intercom, Mixpanel, Databricks, GA4, Webflow, Meta and Dynamics – and self-sufficient configuring tracking, events, conversions and attribution.
  • Fluency in paid-platform AI and AI-native growth workflows. This is not a curiosity; it is how you work.
  • Strong conversion-rate optimisation and experiment design, and the judgement to know what to test next.
  • The ability to communicate performance clearly to a leadership and board audience.
  • Builder mentality – you'd rather ship and learn than wait for perfect.
