Job Description The Financial Services Operations Manager acts as the execution engine for the Financial Services (FS) team, combining operational leadership with an executive assistant remit. The role ensures the FS Managing Director (FS MD) and Senior Finance Business Partner are supported with clear, consistent ways of working, accurate reporting and packs and operations support. Responsibilities targeted diary ownership, leadership briefings, international travel coordination, expenses oversight and submission, and cross‑functional FS programme delivery. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Operating Rhythm & Leadership Enablement: Own the MBR/QBR cadence: shape the agenda with the FS MD and Senior Finance Business Partner, schedule sessions across time zones, assemble pre-reads, minute decisions, track actions to closure, and escalate risks. Quarterly planning/OKRs: Translate priorities into plans, owners, milestones and outcomes; maintain decision logs and dashboards. Stakeholder alignment: Build high‑trust relationships across BD, Delivery, Finance and Enablement; surface issues early and coordinate resolutions. Data, Reporting & Narrative: FS Event/meeting packs: coordinate inputs, verify numbers with relevant teams, apply templates, manage version control and on-time distribution. Single source of truth: Uphold data quality, version control and retention; maintain tidy artefacts and templates Targeted Executive Assistant Remit: Diary & priorities: Provide complex diary management and prioritisation for the FS MD during peak cycles; ensure the right meetings with the right materials. Minutes & actions: Attend critical meetings; minute decisions; ensure action closure. International travel: Coordinate pivotal trips and events; oversee expenses/invoices at quarter‑end or travel‑heavy periods. Cross‑Functional Programmes & Change: Programme delivery / PMO: Lead standardisation, reporting cadence uplifts and tooling adoption with clear plans, risks and benefits. Operations support: Provide targeted interventions across FS Team opportunities and contracts. Ways‑of‑working: Embed structured meetings (clear agendas, pre-reads, decision logs), clear decisions with owners and dates, maintain concise, consistent communication Qualifications Degree qualified in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance or related field or related experience. Experience in operations management, preferably within a commercial or industry-specific context. Experience working with senior leadership teams and managing complex logistics. Strong organisational and project management skills. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with knowledge management tools (e.g., Confluence) and project tracking tools (e.g., Trello, Teams). Experience using Microsoft 365 with intermediate to advanced competency levels for Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using productivity tools and GenAI (e.g. ChatGPT) Experience with data storytelling, synthesising complex information into clear, decision-ready narratives. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
