We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated Growth Specialist to join our Micro-course Tteam. Your primary goal will be to drive revenue growth for our microcourse division. Reporting to the Lead, Micro-courses, this role involves leading all sales activities, including active outreach and building lasting relationships with potential partners and students. You will also play a key part in collaborating with our marketing team to develop and implement innovative, data-driven sales strategies that expand our market presence.
Overview
The Growth Specialist, Micro-courses will be responsible for identifying and executing strategies to expand enrollment and revenue for our micro-course offerings. This role encompasses analyzing sales funnels and collaborating cross-departmentally to drive micro-course growth. The ideal candidate will be data-driven and possess strong sales skills.
Responsibilities
Admissions and Sales
- Recruit qualified candidates for the college’s micro-course programs in a compliant and professional manner; respond to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from prospective micro-course students regarding enrollment.
- Meet and exceed assigned recruitment targets while building relationships in multiple markets.
- Build relationships while looking for opportunities to transition micro-course learners to diploma programs.
- Collaborate with the Admissions Team to establish a structured process for recruiting microcourse graduates into Robertson diploma programs.
- Assist in developing and implementing a plan to promote microcourses to our alumni, offering them opportunities to upskill and reskill.
- Collaborate with the Lead, Micro-courses and Marketing Teams to create a feasibility plan for incentives (i.e., referral programs, vouchers) to boost microcourse enrollment.
Client Relationship Engagement
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to identify new opportunities for microcourse development and sales.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all microcourse offerings, their learning outcomes, and their unique benefits to effectively communicate value to prospective clients.
- Stay up to date with relevant trends among competitors and industry needs.
- Identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients, and drive the growth of our company.
- Investigate partnerships with industry associations, workforce development agencies, or government programs that could support micro-credential enrollment (e.g., Canada Training Credit, provincial funding).
- Expand outreach by seeking and building partnerships with industry groups, businesses, and other educational institutions to broaden the reach of our microcourses.
- Engage with microcourse graduates and alumni to provide information and encourage enrollment in Robertson diploma programs.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new students for microcourse enrollments through direct sales, cold outreach, and by developing lead-nurturing strategies.
- Explore and implement lead referral programs and other initiatives to increase microcourse enrollments.
- Attend relevant events and conferences (e.g., AB ignite initiatives) to promote Robertson microcourses and generate interest.
- Collaborate with the Lead, Micro-courses, to track sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and opportunities to continuously improve strategies.
- Connect with industry partners, Robertson grads, and Workforce connections to build micro-course awareness.
Collaborative Marketing
- Collaborate with the Lead, Micros, and the Marketing Team to make monthly/quarterly and yearly proactive marketing plans.
- Review and provide feedback to the Marketing Team to ensure ad content/webpage development accurately depicts micro-course offerings.
- Collaborate with the Lead, Micro-courses and the Marketing Team to inform marketing initiatives for the Micro-course business line.
College, Division, and Program Activities
- Attends faculty/staff meetings and training sessions.
- Participates proactively in performance appraisals.
- Supports active interdepartmental cooperation with other operational teams.
- Contributes to and promotes a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
- Performs other duties/participates in special projects as assigned.
