Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Guest Service Associate (GSA) for Food & Beverage Service to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore, India. As a GSA - F&B Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests by providing professional and efficient service. Greet and welcome guests according to company standards, ensuring a positive first impression Take and process guest orders accurately, providing menu recommendations and answering questions about food and beverages Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner, adhering to quality and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setup and resetting Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns or special requests Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, using the Point of Sale (POS) system Respond promptly and efficiently to guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events or functions Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and any changes in offerings Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining open communication Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent qualifications Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Team player with a collaborative attitude Fluency in English and Kannada (local language) Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems Knowledge of menu items, food preparation techniques, and dietary restrictions Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
