Description

Synopsis Ensure efficiency in operations by performing accident and general repair as per specific guidelines on all types of metals and alloys. These include the usage of various methods for the fabrication, assembly, construction and repair of equipment. Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards within work site. Welds all types of metals and alloys on various sizes shapes in fabrication assembly, construction and repair various Company equipment. Uses acetylene, electric and other welding methods when performing duties. Maintains good housekeeping at workshop at all times. Accountabilities Receive inputs (verbal or written) on the daily activity schedule and execute work accordingly. This includes obtaining necessary parts / effects required for maintenance and servicing Non -Motorized GSE. Key point of contact to execute end to end unscheduled maintenance activities; these include receipt of job card, obtaining required spares, undertake repairs . Ensure operating and safety procedures of various equipment. Paints any types of metals and alloys in various sizes and shapes in the fabrication, assembly, construction and repair of equipment, pipes, tools, vehicle bumpers, steel boxes and fixtures to meet welding requirements of the Department. Coordinate with seniors (foreman) post completion of tasks assigned and provide updates to ensure timely updating of systems (inform seniors post completion of tasks, who will close the job cards post review of work). Ensure technical, safety and security standards are met through preparation for regular monitoring and surprise checks. Education & Experience Completion of secondary (12 years) technical education followed by recognized mechanical course mandatory. 3 - 4 years’ experience in a welding environment using various welding methods. #LI-DNI About Etihad Airport Services-Ground Etihad Airport Services Ground is the sole ground operations handler at Zayed International Airport.
