ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read detailed schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Competence in hydraulic systems and diesel engine maintenance.
  • A full, clean UK/EU or Irish driving license.
  • Possession of a full personal tool kit.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding work environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a GSE Maintenance Technician at Sky Handling Partner, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues across various departments as well as external contractors and suppliers. Teamwork is essential to ensure the precise creation, assembly, and repair of metal structures and components, meeting the high-quality standards expected by our clients. By communicating effectively with your team and supporting one another, you will contribute to the production of reliable, durable, and innovative products while ensuring our projects are delivered on time and to specification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service and Repair GSE Fleet: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on GSE to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
  • Breakdown Response: Attend to breakdowns and faults of GSE in service, minimizing downtime.
  • Planned Maintenance: Carry out planned GSE maintenance and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Diagnostic Work: Utilize excellent diagnostic skills, both electrical and mechanical, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed using the company’s fleet maintenance IT system. Record all parts and materials usage, and close job cards promptly.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform thorough safety inspections to maintain compliance with operational standards.
  • Housekeeping Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in workshops and service vehicles.
  • Team Collaboration: Take instruction and direction from senior technicians and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communication: Update supervisors and colleagues on repair progress and job statuses as required.
  • Adaptability: Undertake additional duties or responsibilities as required to support operational flexibility and team goals.
