Description Omni-Serv partners with the passenger airlines industry and carrier services to perform various aviation roles. Currently, we are seeking a GSE Mechanic for a temporary 3–6 month assignment to perform and oversee preventative maintenance and immediate repairs on ground Support equipment (GSE) including but not limited to belt loader, tug vehicles, dollies, and container loaders. Overview The Ground Support Equipment Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of ground support equipment used in aviation operations. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong mechanical background who can diagnose, repair, and maintain various types of equipment essential for aircraft servicing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Compensation : $28.00 - $29.00 per hour (depended on experience) Shift: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am, Monday-Friday (Temporary Assignment: 3–6 Months ) Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including tugs, fuel trucks, and baggage carts. Utilize hand tools and power tools to conduct repairs and adjustments. Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the training of junior mechanics or apprentices as needed. Requirements Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or similar mechanical roles is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of machinery. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively. Familiarity with aviation ground support equipment is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria.
