As the Lead Teacher in a GSRP classroom at Heartfelt Impressions you will plan and execute a program of activities that is developmentally appropriate and meets the individual needs of children through the High Scope curriculum.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• CPR Certification required
• Willing to pursue higher education in accordance with NAEYC and Michigan Childcare Licensing guidelines for ECE teachers
• Must have full-time availability and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check (fingerprinting)

• Operates class efficiently and effectively ensuring safety of the child while supervising and coaching assistant teachers and resource teachers and staff
• Participates in required professional development hours for the purpose of staying current with the latest and best practices
• Creates a learning environment that reflects the diversity and culture of children and families in the classroom
• Develop and use instructional materials suitable for a learning environment for children with a wide range of cognitive, physical and emotional maturity
• Maintain a routine schedule of data collection for child assessment through anecdotal notes
• Compliance with licensing, QRIS, GSRP implementation manual
• Relationship management with families and children, exhibiting Heartfelt Core Values
• Develops and utilizes instructional materials aligned with the High Scope curriculum to create developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with the student’s interest
