JOB SUMMARY

The highly skilled and detail-oriented technician will be responsible for creating elements in GTF production. This position will require operation of a number of resources. The technician will follow SOPs and eliminate non-compliant material. Extreme attention to detail and the ability to identify abnormalities in process and materials are crucial in ensuring only high-quality elements are produced and shipped. This role serves as the final stage of the production process and ensures the product is free from defect, complies with strict specifications, and is meticulously packaged.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Keen hand-eye coordination.
  • Precision with maintaining specifications of components.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand activity.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including effectively communicating with co-workers and management.
  • Experience reading and interpreting SOPs and basic work instructions.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to wear all required PPE, including respirator masks and hood.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must be able to work standing for extended periods.
  • Able to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Able to work in a loud production environment.
  • 20/20 vision with or without the use of corrective lenses.

Responsibilities

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate production resources (bandsaw, laser jet, hydraulic press, die press, feeler gauge, calipers) to create finished product.
  • Use precision measurement tools to ensure specified tolerances are being met at every stage.
  • Identify non-compliant material and scrap/disposition as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to improve production processes and reduce downtime.
  • Utilize ERP software to track daily activities, direct/indirect labor transactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
