Description

WHO WE ARE

At Serval, we’re building the AI platform for IT teams. Our goal is to take on legacy players like ServiceNow, a $230+ bn company, by deploying AI agents to resolve IT issues instead of humans.
Serval “automates the automation,” using a natural language-to-code workflow builder and AI agents that discover and deliver automations for tedious IT workflows.
Our mission is to free IT departments from the #helpdesk channel by creating the simplest way to automate employee onboarding/offboarding, software access management, and the long tail of employee requests. Long term, our vision extends to developing a universal workflow automation platform for all business functions.
Serval was founded by product and engineering leaders from Verkada and is backed by industry-leading investors like First Round, General Catalyst, Alt Capital, and Box Group.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As our first GTM Engineer, you’ll design, build, and own the systems that drive commercial momentum from the ground up. There’s no playbook yet. No stack. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales & Marketing to identify the biggest growth levers, turn them into scalable workflows, and ship solutions that accelerate revenue.
You’ll need to be both commercially savvy and technically fluent, equally comfortable building in code, no-code, and AI tools as you are debating outbound strategy with a sales leader. The right person for this role is deeply curious, thrives in ambiguity, and moves fast while thinking two steps ahead.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build GTM Infrastructure from Scratch. Stand up the foundational systems for lead management, pipeline tracking, account engagement, and post-sale workflows.
  • Design & Automate Revenue Workflows. Create AI-native automations that surface next-best actions, trigger timely outreach, and connect the dots across data sources so GTM teams can move faster.
  • Integrate & Evolve the GTM Stack. Select, implement, and connect our sales, marketing, and success tools into one cohesive ecosystem. Then, continuously refine it as we scale.
  • Partner with GTM Teams Hourly. Embed with Sales & Marketing to translate business challenges into technical solutions, spot opportunities, and ship improvements.
  • Own Projects End-to-End. From scoping to design to launch, take projects from idea to execution including measuring impact, iterating, and ensuring adoption across teams.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions. Build the reporting and insights layer that makes performance visible, actionable, and aligned with company goals.
