POSITION SUMMARY

Our team is hiring a Guaranteed Hours LPNs in Calgary to support our growing team. You will be responsible for going to homes providing aides to daily living for seniors who live in their own home. You must have current certification with the CLPNA and have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle. This position would require you to be available for 10 days concurrently and for 12 hours a day. You will be called and given work as needed. This work may be LPN related tasks or Health Care Aid tasks as needed.
We’re looking for LPNs who have a passion for working with the geriatric population. This role requires willingness to drive since your day-to-day work will be going from home to home providing care to seniors living in their own home.
The LPN’s performs basic nursing procedures and provides treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with established CareGivers Home Health programs, policies and procedures. The LPN provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care. Furthermore, the LPN administers medications in accordance with established procedures, legislative standards and as directed by the doctor’s orders provided.
This position would be great for a self-starter who can manage their time effectively. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

· You must have current certification with the CLPNA.
· You must have a drivers license and will be willing to drive from home to home.
· You must be reliable and be willing to work every second weekend.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be open to working in all areas we service.
· A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.(We will perform this check if none is provided)

Responsibilities

· Performing quality care for all clients that have been assigned.
· Responding to office requests when called to work.
· Follow client care plans and orders provided for client care.
· Maintain appropriate client records and documentation.
· Provide nursing services which may include, but are not limited to:
o Vital signs
o IM & subcutaneous injections
o Wound care management
o Foley catheter insertions and removals
o G-tube feedings
o Perform Health Care Aid tasks as assigned.
