As British Columbia’s flagship convention centre, we host more than 500 events each year and welcomes hundreds of thousands of global attendees to premier conferences, trade shows, banquets and more.
The Vancouver Convention Centre are hiring for Guest Experience Ambassadors to join the team on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Manager, Guest Experience, this position will be responsible for providing concierge services and be the first point of contact for guests and clients of the Vancouver Convention Centre. The Guest Ambassador will ensure all guests are met with a courteous and professional welcome while upholding our service excellence standards by responding to any inquiries or provide direction to event spaces.
The hourly rate for this position starts at $22.75.
- Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
- Salary discussion and overall compensation package will be presented during initial phone interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet all visitors to the facility.
- Answer guest or client inquiries. Handle guest comments and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring guests’ needs are met to the highest level of satisfaction.
- Answer and direct calls as appropriate.
- Direct guests and clients to their event spaces.
- Provide tourist, city, transport and restaurant information to guests and clients.
- Operate the Business Centre and the Lost and Found departments.
- Provide site tours for visitors and provides accurate information.
- Monitor local websites for upcoming events to ensure information is accurate.
- Participate as an Event Host for a variety of events in the facility.
- Monitor the site for any suspicious activity and redirect or report to Security team to ensure the safety of all guests, clients and team members.
- Ensure the lobby and front desk are clean, tidy and well maintained.
