Description

The Guest Experiences Rides/Transportation Driver provides safe, courteous, and effective transportation and ride operation for Zoo visitors while providing excellent guest service. * Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. * Performs safe, courteous and effective operation of Zoo Trams, Boomerang Railroad Train and all other attractions, obeying all safety standards and guidelines. * Provides exceptional guest service to Zoo guests in a friendly, personable manner at all times. * Performs daily maintenance and safety checks on Zoo Trams, Boomerang Railroad Train and all other attractions as assigned. Completes daily written safety/maintenance check reports. * Cleans the Zoo Trams, Boomerang Railroad Train, and other attractions daily. * Provides information to Zoo guests regarding special events, activities and exhibit locations. * Provides Zoo Tram and Boomerang Railroad Train narration. * Engages guests in a friendly and positive manner. * Acts as a host/hostess at tram stops and Circle of Wildlife Carousel. * Safely assists visitors boarding/departing and with personal property to include wagons, strollers, wheelchair, etc. Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license under the laws of the State of Ohio. * Ability to uphold the high standards of Cleveland Metroparks by actions, appearance & attitude at all times and in all places * Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholder, including employees and the general public. * Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings. * Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization. * Ability to work cooperatively with others. * Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative. Responsibilities

The primary duties involve providing safe, courteous, and effective transportation and operation of Zoo Trams, Railroad Trains, and other attractions while delivering excellent guest service.
