Description

Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the aerodrome and terminal facilities
Monitoring live airport operations, flight movements and operational systems, including SITATEX, EUROCONTROL, AMS and Flight Information Displays
Ensuring aircraft load declarations are received and carrying out data validation and verification checks
Planning and adjusting the allocation of operational resources, including check-in desks, baggage reclaim belts, boarding gates and aircraft stands
Monitoring aircraft and passenger operations across the airfield and terminal, including through CCTV and other operational systems
Monitoring the use of allocated resources and the performance of Ground Handling Service Providers, reporting any operational issues or irregularities
Maintaining accurate records of extraordinary events, weather advisories, resource failures and safety-related occurrences
Coordinating closely with Malta Air Traffic Services, airlines, ground handlers, Security, Customer Services and Aerodrome Services to ensure the timely flow of operational information
Supporting the coordination and dissemination of information during aircraft incidents, emergencies and airport system failures
Monitoring operational restrictions and relevant NOTAMs and responding in line with established procedures
Ensuring an effective operational handover between shifts
Attending the required operational training and successfully completing relevant assessments
