ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Follow job tasks issued by Housekeeping Supervisor. Respond to and notify Housekeeping Supervisor of all guest requests or complaints. Replenish all supplies in guest rooms. Strip beds, roll-aways and cribs. Change sheets. Clean all showers, sinks, toilets, and floors. Clean walls and doors as needed. Vacuum carpet in rooms, halls, lobby and elevator. Clean windows and blinds. Collect, sort, clean, fold, and store laundry. Operate washing and drying equipment. Maintain laundry room in clean and orderly fashion. Move furniture to clean. Maintain appearance standards as outlined in departmental and hotel and casino policies. Provide and inform Team Member of Players Club benefits, property amenities & marketing programs to our guests. Provide courteous service to our guests and be cordial to all Team Members. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record. Other duties as assigned. AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with highly sensitive information, maintains confidentiality and discretion in all areas, including planning and promotional procedures and guest information files. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None COMPUTER OPERATIONS Basic personal computer skills. LANUGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.). Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed. Must have positive attitude.
