Description Ensures all guest rooms of the historic lodge are maintained in a rotation that ensures the best possible presentation daily. Responsible for inspections, light duty repairs and maintenance duties of guest rooms on a consistent basis. Provide reliable maintenance of equipment and communicate supply needs in a timely fashion. Works well independently. Requirements Work with Curator to schedule preventive maintenance, implementation and completion for Guest Rooms Maintenance projects to maintain an acceptable presentation. Perform tasks essential for maintaining & repairing the historic guest rooms of Timberline Lodge. Works in unison with Rooms Manager and inspectors to ensure the best possible presentation daily. Has the ability to learn and operate in accordance with all governmental agency guidelines. Complete essential functions of Rooms Maintenance Lead as needed. Painting, light duty repairs, décor hardware replacement/installation, fixture cleaning and maintenance, wall art installation, wood furniture hardware replacement/installation, bathroom hardware and light fixture care, light sanding and staining, interior wood walls and floors care, regular room maintenance checklist inspections. Prepare surface and site properly for finishing including but not limited to; sanding, caulking and covering exposed surfaces. Clean and store paint materials according to manufactures specs and OSHA regulations. Ensure HazCom procedures are followed. Keep Curator updated on daily schedule and jobs assigned. Completion and sign off of work orders. Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. Present a professional, quality image at all times. Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. Regular and reliable attendance. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have sound knowledge of basic indoor maintenance techniques. Must be familiar with operations and maintenance of equipment such as painting materials, hand tools, cordless power drills, cutting tools, measuring tape, ladders. Must be able to work independently. Must have excellent initiative and problem solving skills. Must be able to track, document and be held accountable for activities. Must be detail oriented with the ability meet high presentation standards. Must be professional in words and actions. Must have strong organizational skills. Must have excellent leadership and motivational skills. Must have excellent time management skills. Must have excellent conflict resolution skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling. Must be able to work in tight spaces. Must be able to work on feet for up to 8 hour shift. Must be able to move in a timely fashion to meet the pace and demands of the position. Must be able to work with basic cleaning chemicals. Must be able to work in snow, icy, uneven, slippery conditions.
