Job Description

As a Guest Service Agent at Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill, you will provide a warm and welcoming experience for our guests. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver exceptional guest service, including personalised greetings, efficient check-in/out processes, and handling queries and requests promptly.
  • Manage guest accounts, process payments, and maintain accurate records of guest preferences and special requirements.
  • Ensure the Front Office is well-stocked and operate in compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfil guest needs and special requests.
  • Assist with concierge duties, providing local information and recommendations.
  • Participate in regular training to enhance guest service skills and contribute to administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant hospitality experience, preferably in hotels, with knowledge of Opera/Opera Cloud and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Highly responsible and reliable with problem-solving skills
