Description:

We are looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent to join our Hotel team in Inuvik, NT. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Hotel, you will be the front-line representative for the hotel and will strive to provide an exceptional, proactive, and memorable experience for the guest.
Responsibilities:
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel
- Verify customers’ credit, and establish how the customer will pay
- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report a problem
- Make and confirm reservations
- Assign and distribute room keys
- Perform bookkeeping duties such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits
- Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
- Record guest comments or complaints, referring them to managers when necessary
- Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions
- Arrange tours, taxis, and restaurant reservations for guests

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve
- Good organizational skills, able to multi-task, and is detailed-oriented
- Flexible schedule (able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays)
