Penmac Staffing has teamed up with a local resort in the Brainerd Lakes Area in search of a Reservations Manager to add to the team!
The Reservations Manager is a sales-oriented professional responsible for leading the reservations team to maximize room revenue, optimize occupancy, and ensure guest satisfaction. This role involves managing the daily operations of the reservations department, developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, and maintaining relationships with key clients and travel partners. The Reservations Manager will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and enhancing the guest experience from the initial point of contact.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or a related field preferred or Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in reservations or sales.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of increasing responsibility
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a proven track record of driving revenue and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in reservations systems and revenue management software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • A guest-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase room revenue, occupancy rates, and overall profitability. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and train the reservations team to maximize these opportunities.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and coach the reservations team to ensure they provide exceptional service, meet sales targets, and maintain high standards of guest communication.
  • Revenue Optimization: Work closely with the revenue management team to manage inventory, pricing, and availability across all channels, including direct bookings, OTAs, and travel agents. Monitor and analyze booking patterns to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with VIP clients, travel agents, and other key partners to encourage repeat business and foster brand loyalty. Handle complex or high-profile bookings personally to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that all reservations processes are guest-centric, focusing on creating a personalized and memorable experience for each guest from the moment of booking.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on reservations performance, including sales metrics, conversion rates, and occupancy forecasts. Use this data to adjust strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and front office teams to align reservations strategies with broader business goals. Participate in promotional campaigns and special offers designed to drive bookings.
  • System Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of the reservations system, ensuring it is fully optimized and up to date. Troubleshoot issues and provide training to staff as needed.
