Description My Place Hotel in East Moline is hiring for a part time Guest Service Representative/Night Auditor to join our team. The My Place Hotel East Moline is a 64-room hotel that is connected to the Bend XPO, and we are hiring for a dependable guest- focused team member to cover a split second shift Guest Service Representative and 3rd shift Night Auditor position. Schedule: Part-time with potential to become full-time. Typical weekly schedule: two 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shifts and two 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM shifts (rotating/evening + overnight). As the friendly face of the property, the hotel front desk representative/night auditor has a relatable personality and a great desire to work with people. You are responsible for communicating in a welcoming and efficient manner, while ensuring that guests’ needs are properly addressed. Welcome guests to the hotel and perform the check-in process. Thank guests and perform the check-out process. Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls. Assist callers with making and/or changing reservations. Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience. Perform routine daily tasks. Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time. Assist with the laundry duties during the shift. Assist with stripping rooms to set our housekeepers up for success. Monitor building/security and handle emergency procedures when necessary. Communicate shift notes and any guest/service issues to next shift or management. Maintain front desk area and ensure adherence to hotel policies and safety procedures. Requirements Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Great attention to detail Dependable and responsible Excellent knowledge of local attractions and entertainment venues Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently during overnight shifts
