Job Description Baxterstorey is seeking a friendly and efficient Guest Service Ambassador to join our team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a Hospitality Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in our food service operations. Experience in admin, reception, and event bookings Greet and assist customers in a warm and welcoming manner Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently Serve meals and refreshments to customers, ensuring presentation meets our high standards Handle cash and card transactions, maintaining accurate records Clean and sanitise dining areas, kitchen equipment, and utensils Restock supplies and assist in inventory management Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times Respond promptly to customer queries and concerns, escalating issues when necessary Assist in setting up and breaking down for events or functions as required Qualifications Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanour Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality service and creating positive customer experiences Additional Information For almost 20 years, for every client, in every location (whether that’s an office, stadium, cathedral or university), we have created beautiful spaces, exciting menus and friendly teams, so that each and every customer can have the hospitality experience they deserve.
