The Guest Service Attendant plays an important role to ensure the smooth check in and checkout of guests and to maintain and exceed The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel standards. The Guest Service Attendant will also assist in achieving goals and targets set, while maintaining and building on the reputation of the Hotel. Summary of Responsibilities Supports the hotel operation in times of demand. Maintains effective communication within the department and ensure that the Front Office Managers are kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen. Liaises with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support. Check in and checkout within the Hotel specific requirements Takes a proactive approach to the door activities, anticipating potential opportunities i.e. jogging suggestions/directions. Greets and maintains an excellent working relationship with guests/clients and colleagues. Ensure the management of guest luggage (arrival/departure and storage) is recorded with the appropriate labelling. Ensure appropriate reception of guests on arrival by limousine at hotel entrance is carried out. Maintains a good working relationship with local taxi drivers. Ensure a high level of local knowledge with regards to nearby streets, attractions, shops, amenities etc. Requirements Minimum 3 years within hospitality. Written and verbal fluency in English. Fluency in another language an advantage. Knowledge of property management systems (e.g. Micros/Fidelio, Opera, toast, etc.). Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism (desirable).
Responsibilities
The Guest Service Attendant ensures smooth check-in and check-out processes for guests while maintaining high standards of service. They also support hotel operations during busy times and communicate effectively with other departments.
