Description General Summary The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC) is located at Dallas Executive Airport. The flagship educational initiative of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), the NAEC is a dynamic facility that includes a museum, a working aircraft hangar, and classroom spaces. The venue also offers space for rental events The Guest Services Coordinator plays a key role as a forward-facing presence for the museum, special events, and key rental events. The base schedule for the position is Tuesday through Saturday with flexible hours to accommodate some evening and weekend events. This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment). Responsibilities · Welcome all visitors to the NAEC during scheduled shifts · Open and operate the front desk on scheduled days including selling tickets and gift shop items · Fulfill online retail orders and maintain inventory of retail supplies · Deliver on-site service and operational support for venue events (including aviation and rental events) · Support the Director of Venue Events with client walkthroughs and event planning coordination Requirements Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities · A welcoming personality with an eagerness to step in and help in all situations · Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills · Effective communication skills, in writing and orally across various media · Solid computer-proficiency skills and abilities, including applications, databases, and Microsoft 365 · Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality · Willingness to collaborate on projects and work with a team · Interest in World War II and aviation history preferred Education and Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent · One year experience in guest services, events, or front desk operations · Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
