This role is ideal for a passionate hospitality all-rounder with leadership experience and a flair for creating memorable guest journeys. Key responsibilities include:
Guest Experience & Operations
· Personally meet and greet guests at the airport to confirm itineraries
· Act as concierge — assist guests with bookings, tours, car hire and local recommendations
· Serve as on-call duty manager and coordinate guest safety & security after hours
· Respond to guest feedback and resolve complaints with care and professionalism
· Maintain detailed guest records and update reservation systems as required
· Oversee daily operations across guest services, accommodation, food & beverage, and housekeeping
Marketing & Promotion
· Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote our accommodation and experiences
· Manage our accommodation website and booking platforms
· Regularly update and monitor social media channels, paid ads and SEO performance
· Build relationships with booking platforms, travel agents and local tourism partners
Team Leadership & Quality Assurance
· Create and manage staff rosters across housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services
· Support the recruitment, training, and performance of staff
· Step in to assist with housekeeping or F&B duties during peak periods
· Ensure all services meet hygiene, OH&S and operational standards
· Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of guest supplies, amenities, linen and cleaning products


What We’re Looking For:
· Experience living and working in a remote isolated location
· Must have at least 1 year relevant experience, such as in accommodation or hospitality operations (supervisory or management level)
· Must hold at least a Diploma (or equivalent) in either hospitality management, hotel management, or similar.
· Strong organisational and leadership skills
· Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
· Confident with digital tools (reservation systems, social media, website CMS, SEO)
· A hands-on approach and team-first mindset
· Willingness to relocate to Norfolk Island and embrace the island lifestyle
· Willingness to be flexible and hands on in the day-to-day operations
