HI-FI is a live music and special events venue located in the Fountain Square District of Indianapolis, IN. HI-FI presents national, regional and local concerts 6 nights per week. Job Description Position: Guest Services + Security (Seasonal Position / April - October) Schedule: Nights, Weekends, Select Holidays Type: Part Time to Full Time | 2-4 Nights Per Week (Event Based, Seasonal April - October) Compensation: $14.00-$16.00 per hour based on prior experience. Eligible for increase after 1 year of employment. Venues: HI-FI (400 capacity, indoor venue) + HI-FI Annex (950 capacity, outdoor/seasonal venue) Our Guest Services / Security Team prides themselves on the safety of our customers, artists, and staff. This role requires a unique skill set of crowd control and customer service. The ideal candidate must have passion for live music, patience under pressure and a protective instinct. To join our team you must be hard-working and dependable. Our Guest Services / Security team interacts with our guests from the minute they walk in the door until they leave our facility. As such, customer service and leadership are two important qualities we look for in this position. This position reports to the Show Lead and General Manager. This role also provides an entry point to future opportunities within our companies. Responsibilities Ticket scanning & promotional material distribution ID Checking for age verification and wristbanding Pre and post-show room setup, venue cleaning, and general labor Administer security screenings for guests prior to entering the venue Monitoring access points for artist / staff only areas and screening for credentials Interact with customers and answer questions as needed Monitoring of the health & safety of all guests in attendance Crowd control De-escalate stressful or volatile interactions Ensure customers leave with a positive experience Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older A minimum 1 year of guest services, customer service, or security related experience is preferred Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time Ability to handle loud & sometimes crowded/high energy environments Skills Required Patience Good communicator Positive, outgoing personality Excel at negotiations Calm under pressure Work Environment Entertainment venue with live music Atmosphere ranges from loud and high energy to quiet and eclectic Notice: Company will conduct a background check on any applicant prior to offering an employment opportunity.
